In this age of constantly evolving technology, the dental field has not been standing still. Even if you haven’t noticed the dental innovations that have entered your dentist’s office in recent years, we can guarantee they exist. At Trinity Dental, Dr. Julovich and his skilled dentistry team have invested in a number of instruments that allow us to provide treatments that are faster, safer, and more comfortable and efficient. If you would like to learn more about the advanced dental technology we use on a daily basis, please don’t hesitate to give our team a call. We’ll be happy to answer your questions or schedule a consultation.
We use digital technology to streamline every aspect of the dental care process. This includes new patient forms that are available online for your convenience. Once we receive the digital files, we can easily access all of these documents at the click of a button, which reduces risk for lost documentation.
We also use digital diagnostic tools as part of our examination and treatment planning process. We capture digital X-rays of your mouth regularly. These images are immediately viewable on chairside computer monitors. We use specialized software to show patients the areas of concern, explain potential treatment options, and truly partner with patients to develop a plan to restore or maintain good oral health. These digital files are easily stored and referenced from year to year, and we can instantly transfer necessary documents to our dental lab, specialists, and insurance providers as necessary to streamline the treatment process.
X-rays are vital to the dental care process revealing damage and decay that can’t be found with the naked eye. However, the traditional method for taking them had its downfalls, such as tedious darkroom development and significant doses of radiation for patients. Thankfully, new digital technology has saved the day! Now, our team captures multiple, detailed images of your smile and brings them up on a computer monitor within seconds – they can even be color-coded and magnified so patients better understand what they’re looking at. Radiation is reduced by up to 90% as well!
We also utilize the latest sterilization and sanitation technologies. This not only protects you from potential health and safety hazards, it also allows us to reuse many tools to lower unnecessary waste.
The KaVo 3D cone beam imaging system not only allows us to capture high definition, 3D scans of the entire oral and facial structure, it also allows us to quickly capture traditional X-rays. It’s a completely integrated system that allows us to streamline every patients’ appointment. We’ll use the 3D imaging software as part of our treatment planning for advanced dentistry services, including dental implants, tooth extractions, and other complex procedures.
